ABCNews Fishing exclusion zone benefits fishers hundreds of kilometres away, study finds

For many commercial and recreational fishers, marine protected areas (where fishing is excluded) are viewed with scepticism.

Critics have questioned the legitimacy of what is referred to as the spillover effect — where excluding fishing is hypothesised to produce ecological and/or commercial fishing benefits beyond the boundaries of the protected area.
But research published today in Science suggests fishing exclusion zones can benefit both fishers and the marine environment, and that fish yields for some species can be boosted up to several hundred kilometres away from the protected habitat.
Lead researcher John Lynham from the University of Hawaii says marine protected areas allow the entire food web within them to recover.
That in turn boosts the numbers of some of the wider-roaming pelagic fish that move out into the waters beyond.
"Removing a lot of the human influence, it's kind of like the [COVID-19] lockdowns on a giant scale — everything has a chance to recover," Professor Lynham said.
Key points:
- Researchers compared catch rates outside the world's largest marine protected area off Hawaii, before and after fishing was excluded
- Yellowfin tuna catch rates were boosted by 60 per cent within 100 nautical miles of the boundary, and total "other" species were also higher
- Increased tuna catch rates were seen for 300 nautical miles from the boundary

Once Again: Kina Bank Vision CIty Branch is the Fastest Bank Service Centre in Melanesia

Yes, I say in Melanesia, this particular branch office is the fastest because I have travelled to almost all Melanesian countries, except Bougainville and Kanaky. I have travelled to other Melanesian countries: West Papua, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Fiji and Vanuatu, and I have also happen to get to Bank for various transaction purposes. And from these experiences, I can confidently declare that Kina Bank Vision City Branch Office is the fastest service centre for banking in Melanesia.

Today, I just visited the office again. This time, I wanted three things: (1) To request a New Visa Debit Card for one of my accounts; (2) To request the opening of Online Banking for my company PAPUAmart.com LTD and (3) to request CellMoni Kina Bank Account.

Numbers one and two were finalized within minutes, if not seconds, because this time a miracle happened, the boss of the branch office at Vision City actually invited me to serve me with my needs. This is how it happened, "I entered the office and lined up for customer service section, and waited for sometime, maybe an hour". I saw the boss was going out and coming in. He was certainly busy service some customers.

After getting into the office, he then opened the door. And, surely I did not know him, and I was not lining up to meet him, therefore, I sat there without glancing at him, facing towards the customer service, and his office door was right at my left-back side.

He actually talked to me, asking me what services I wanted, but in some seconds I chose not to reply, because I knew well that I was not waiting for the boss, but for customer service. But then he spoke again, "Yes, come, how can I help you?"

I did not answer him for some seconds, because I was busy thinking about what made him invite me to his office. I realized that I did say something, some kind of prayer, so that my walk to the bank and come back be guided and protected. And in fact this was the outcome of my request, and also in some respect my command to my guardian angels.

Surely, I got VIP service. Mind you, the whole operations here are fast, but now become fastest, because the boss quickly and smoothly helped me issuing my Visa Debit Card and registered my Online / Internet Banking for my company.

I am back home here, typing this Good News.

My purpose of writing this note is that I invite those of you out there, who want to do banking activities, please flood into Kina Bank Vision City Branch. I will proof to you, in PNG or across Melanesia, that this is the fastest bank office across Melanesia.

Definitely, I know the fastest in the world is Hong Kong, maybe fastest in all areas of services, but particularly banking services in Hong Kong is the fastest worldwide. But for Melanesia, Kina Bank Vision City Branch is the one to come and proof it yourself. Robert Oeka says, "Yu yet kam na lukim", so mi yet tok-tok seim kain, "Yu yet kam na prufim!"

PS: I am sorry, I actually thought about taking picture of both of us in his office, but then I thought it was ethically impolite so I kept the thought myself and it is with me now here.

God's System is WANTOK System, My System is Wantok System Too

Intro

Wantok System is commonly regarded by westerners or modernists as a bad system that should be wiped out from across Melanesia and all Melanesians are encouraged to get rid of "Wantok System" in governing our lives.

The Reality

I want to make a bold and clear statement to those haters of "Wantok System" that

  1. Wantok System is God created system, as it is used to run our daily lives. Therefore, those who want to run other than life should not think or speak against God-created system, therefore we call it "Godly System". Therefore, those who are against Wantok System are un-Godly minded people, who love human made system to operate in their lives.
  2. Wantok System is God's own system in running His Kingdom today and tomorrow. The first and fundamental principle is that God operates based on relations, not merits. Modern mind and system operate based on merits, whereas God operates on relations. Operations based on merits aimed at optimizing productivity. The end result of productivity is maximizing profit. The profit here is material profit, bodily economic gains, and earthly pleasure.

This is why human beings are called "human resources". Human beings are not treated as God's created being in His own image.

God does not see and treat human beings as resources. He sees and treats us as His own sons and daughters. And in this relation, what He wants to see as an end product is our submission to His power and authority, to glorify His name. Merit is the keyword in modern mind, but relation is the keyword in God's mind.
  3. Wantok System operates not to bring economic or capital benefits. Wantok System the others around us as fellow human beings, as brothers, sisters, uncles, fathers, mothers, grandparents, leaders. Other people are not those you can use to gain financial benefits,

Yes, there is ego in play in community, but the ego in Wantok System is reflected to collective ego, start communally. Even thought this can be acted individually, but the end result is mostly expected towards collective interests, needs and wants. It is not possible to separate "I or Me" from "We or Us". Likewise, we don't appreciate and value individuals as singular, but within collective values and identities.
When Wantok System is in operation, the main focus will be to maintain the relationship. It is reciprocal relationship and balance that become focus and priority. When there is no balance, then the individuals and elders will soon fix it. The balance is maintained with the law of reciprocal relationship.

Balance then produces harmony. Harmony means everything is in balance. Or in other words, the reciprocal relationships is happening according to the Laws of Nature.

When we take this Wantok System into modern system, then of course and definitely, there will be problems because we are trying to operate God's Operating System within Human made system.

No wander Wantok System is widely attacked across Melanesia.

Mind you, please go to the Melanesian person, particularly so-called leaders within the government, military, police or political parties and hear them speaking. They do attach Wantok System as the system that bring about nepotism and collusion that bring about corruption in mindset, talks and actions in offices and public affairs.

I want to openly and boldly speak against this kind of mindset and statement, that the problem here is you are mixing up the two systems. Wantok System should be applied in running lives, whereas modern system be applied in running businesses (public, private).

Then you might ask, "What about Wantok System within the government?"

My answer is that we have a choice at this generation to choose, whether we want to run our government and businesses within God's system, or within modern earthly system. In other words, do we run our governments and businesses for the people, or do we run our government and businesses for generating and accumulating financial profits. What is the purpose of our independence: to generate more money or to help our the people? What is the purpose of running our governments: to serve foreign interests or to serve our own peoples' interests.

One thing to remember is that we can mix God's System with human system, but we cannot mix human system with God's system, because the purpose of God's system is above the purpose of human's system.

Should we apply God's system within our government and business organizations?

Yes, we can and we must.

The most important principle to remember is that we are born naked, owning nothing, and we will die naked leaving everything, including our own body will be left empty.

Therefore, running our lives in families, in businesses and in governments should be mindful that what I am doing, what we are doing have direct and indirect consequences to others, because we exist in relation to and with others. We do not exist without others. And we cannot exist without others. We will never existed without others.

Therefore, whatever I do here. in this life should be based upon this understanding, that life is not about money, the work in this life is not about merits, this life is not about productivity and work performance, but it is truly about how I am in this life relating to the other person nearby or surrounding and those others in this world. If I see them as resources that I can use, then I am putting myself less than human, I am operating in my earthly operating system. If I am viewing and treating them as my own "wantoks" in my office, workplace, political party, contingent, club,  business, company, then I am operating in God's System.

Operating in God's system means viewing and treating equally and reciprocally, looking for value in life than money for life.

IF you ask me to forget Wantok System in my modern office, I will ask those politicians fighting against Wantok System but they allow and even fund and campaign for their own wives, sons and daughters to campaign to become Members of Parliament. IF you ask me to hate Wantok System, you are telling me to love the world and hate Godly system.

Takeaways

I know that I am talking a big issue here, therefore, I cannot complete everything here. I am also starting to formulate, therefore, this is the first ever note I am writing on this topic. I will formulate and analyze more and then come back.

What I want you to see as takeaway after leaving this note are
  1. That Wantok System and Modern System cannot be conflicted, or compared, because they are separate and different operating systems to run human lives;
  2. The function and use of Wantok System is for running life, and the function and use of modern system is for running activities to generate income, financial income.
  3. That I am here to defend Wantok System at any cost, for the sake of humanity, particularly for Melanesia-hood, because I know that hating Wantok System is very closely related to hating Melanesian peoples (individuals and groups)

Homosexuals Have No Place in Melanesian PNG

By: Tabe Jugari TJ

Not long ago during our fathers' days, the males were secluded to certain functions and rituals in the society. The same applied for the womenfolk. Men were trained and tested to be strong, both physically emotionally. The males lived in the men's house and were restricted from visiting the women's house except for the married men to visit their wives for mating purposes.

There was a strong division between the two sexes, physically and emotionally, as well as their respective tribal and family responsibilities. In the men's house, core values of manhood were passed down from the elderlies to young ones, including the duty to carry on the generation. And that is how our race was brought forward for thousand years to date. For generations, there has never been a gay, girlish guy, or any sort of 'in-between' humans that existed among men. One was define from birth as either male or female, and they automatically inherited their respective  functions in the society as they grew older. One of men's primary function was to reproduce and preserve this race that we now identify ourselves as Papua New Guineans.

But today, maybe because of the climate change (as some call it), or for some scientific reasons, we somehow have these 'half-male-half-female persons', 'female trapped in male body' , or what you call homosexual or 'gays' born into our society.

And the society seems to be cool with it.  Not long ago, the former member for Sumkar, this white fellow Ken Fairweather once pushed for a same sex legislation in Parliament but was rejected by many.

I'd like to think that homosexuality  amongst others (natural law, Christian principles, legally etc), is a violation of our Melenasian culture. Our race was not preserved for many years by the practice of homosexuality. Rather, our core values and principles of manhood, our foremost duty to reproduce had brought us this far, and now we have 8 million of our kind living on this land.

I think homosexual should be condemned in PNG, even to an extent where those practicing it must be harassed and threatened. I don't think stigmatising a homosexual is a wrong, rather it's simply a reminder of our Melenasian values and norms, our roots. If we allow this in our society, it will lead to same sex marriage.

PNG has no place for gays and lesbians or the so called LGBTs.

#NoSameSexMarriageInPNG

#ForABetterPNG

WANTOKS: We all Melanesians know that half-male and half-female comes from Blood Mixing. Those parents married to very related or one-line blood, that is why this happens. This is the reason our Melanesian culture teaches us moiety system, where clans are paired, and marriage inside the same clan groups are not allowed. What happened today? We have wiped out our clan names, and started using our biological father's name, finally by identity we already become half-male, half-female, because look around, those girls born from the father Joseph, now become Catharine Joseph, for example. We are confusing ourselves, by blood and by identity.

Let us fix it, fix the Nakamal/ Haus Tambaran/ Nasara/ Kunu/ Haus Man, then this very house will fix the rest.

The World is Digitalized: PNG Still Operates on Duplicate, Triplicate, Quadruplicate, etc.

Imcompetent Department Headers are the reason behind this. They are living today but their brains are still in 1975.

For people like me, how can I do quardruplicates for the hundreds of CVs that I have from Job Seekers. The job seekers are tax payers, their tax makes you salary and allowances. Try consider the cost before publishing vacansies with your funny looking signatures.

An email address would do, then you can forward to the treee or never ending numbers of emails that you may wish to.

Someone please remind them of today's date.

BSP Mobile Banking is NOT the Same as BSP Internet Banking

I went to fix my Internet Banking on 7 June 2022. As I explained in my other note in this blog, I have managed to register for Internet Banking. Then the bank rang me up and gave me the credentials for me to log into the Internet.

And Yes, I did log into the Internet Banking.

However, I got it wrong when 3 times I mistyped "0" (zero) instead of "O" letter O in capital letter. That caused my Internet Banking Password was blocked.

I told the banker at BSP POM Branch, or the BSP Main Office, biggest office building, first BSP Building in town. Then I was given a different form to fill in. She said, I need to fill it out and submit it again in order to get the Password.

I read manuals already, particularly online, before going to the bank. I knew that to re-set my Internet Banking Password I needed to bring my Kundu Card to the ATM machine and ring phone: 7031212 while standing at the ATM Machine. However, this lady at the bank gave me the form and asked me to fill it out.

My reading was correct. In fact I was given a form to request mobile banking. Therefore, instead of "Reset my pin/ password" option in the purpose of application, I selected "New Application". Then I moved to the Mobile Banking section, and submitted the form.

(Please bear in mind, I have not yet re-set my Internet Banking so far to this point of writing this note.)

Then I got a new Mobile Banking System that I am using right now. It is operational.

This Mobile Banking is commonly called particularly in Asian countries as SMS Banking (Short Message System Banking), where the banking system utilizes short messaging system. When they call Mobile Banking, they mean banking using Mobile Application or Mobile App Banking. I was really confused with the terminology, but I  know now that what BSP Bank means by Mobile Banking is actually the SMS Banking system.

I am happy that I am using my BSP Mobile Banking. I am looking forward to fix my BSP Internet Banking.

Why My Kundu Kad and Visa Debit Card of BSP Do not Show my Account Balance?

I am following up my story yesterday, regarding Visa Debit Card and Banking System.

I want to a little bit correct my previous statement, that yes, BSP is doing so many changes, and I must admit, BSP is the biggest bank in the South Pacific and has done a lot of modernisation processes within the system. However, things that I am saying here are just to improve what have been achieved so far.

I did have a different perspective on BSP before I physically saw the administration system. I stated out of my surprise, because our people accept whatever BSP is doing without really looking into the things and look around the world, and realize that what we have here in PNG, even the most advanced technologies and systems here, are far 10 years minimum, and 20 years maxim, even behind what we find in Jayapura, the capital of Papua Province, on the other side of this Island of New Guinea.

I have come here again today, I was the first customer to be served, because I started lining up at the BSP Port Moresby Branch at downtown since 08:00AM. At 09:00AM, the security at the bank started opening the door and allowed us enter the bank. Then I sat, and the first one to be served.

I was convinced that my bank account has a problem, because I used my Kundu Kard and my Visa Debit card correctly with my PIN, but my account never displayed balance on the account.

The staff, a young boy, stood and overheard what I was explaining to my daughter (I mean the BSP worker just looked like my own daughter back home). She did not understand very well, but that boy, a young BSP employee said to me, "Your problem is card problem, so let me bring the card machine!" Then he went in and pick up one EFTPOS machine.

He took my Visa Card and checked. He said, the card is OK, it is working well.

Then he asked me to enter my PIN, then I entered. Then he said, "See, your balance is still there!"

Then he said,

"You are pressing "SAVINGS" when it asked you to press at the machine, many people have done this so, please try again.

Then I tried, choosing "CHEQUE Account" instead of "SAVINGS" account as I have normally been doing with my Kina Bank Accounts. Then I successfully accessed the balance.

So,

So, the problem was my ignorance, that, normally, automatically, when someone opens a bank account at BSP Bank all over in Papua New Guinea, then BSP opens a CHEQUE Account, not a Savings one. Therefore, please, all of you in this planet earth, be aware when you open a Bank Account in Papua New Guinea at BSP Branch, be sure that you select "CHEQUE Account" when accessing the account.

Thank you. God bless!

Very Interesting: Bank of South Pacific Is Still Using Last Century's Administrative System

I am not impolite to honestly and openly state that Bank of South Pacific Administrative System is still using last century's administrative system. One simple example can be seen at the Card (Kundu Card or Debit Visa Card) Issuing section, where, all cards are being enveloped, separated and kept in filing cabinet. So, when a BSP worker wants to deliver to a customer who came to collect Debit Visa Card, then the staff has to dig into the filling cabinet, one by one, finding the card that are already kept in envelopes.

It is not completely bad, but I am happy to see that the bank is not computerizing all activities. However, I can see a lot of things still being done OFFLINE and manually. Particularly customers details are being kept locally in each branch. No wander, some weeks before, I asked my son to get to BSP Bank to send money to a different bank account, but he was told that he should go to the branch where he opened the bank account because the other bank does not have the sample signature/ template signature that he had signed when opening the bank account. It means that when someone opens a bank account, a BSP bank account in Papua New Guinea, in vision City, then they ID card photos cannot be accessed in other branch building at all. That is very limiting, and surely frustrating.

It is limiting because every time I have to get to the branch office where I opened my bank account to do transfers, yes particularly transfers.

It is frustrating because we are right now in post postmodern era, in the 21st century. We are not in post modern. We are passed modern era. However, the banking system is still some 30 years behind? How come?

Oh Yes, I have done the same thing with Kina Bank Vision City Brach and Waigani Branch cannot load photos or IDs uploaded in each branch. Luckily, I have accounts in both branches, therefore, when I deal with one in Vision City Account at Waigani Branch, then they will check my signature and IDs uploaded at their branch. However, to do transfer still should be done in the respective branch. This is also frustrating.

Anyway, I waited for more than 20 minutes, just in searching the debit visa card. After finding it, I did not achieve what I wanted to achieve. I must go to different counter to fix my Internet Banking PIN, which I then withdrew myself because I need to line up for 3-5 hours again to get to the counter. I was then given a Mobile Banking Form, not Internet Banking Form. Actually I wanted to fix my Internet Banking PIN, therefore, I did not use this form, I just exited.

I also wanted to create my BSP Pay account/ pin, however, they told me that I have to finalize my Internet Banking, which I could not do due to the time limit.

I am going tomorrow morning, 9 June 2022, as early as 8:00 AM I will be standing at the entrance gate at the BSP POM Branch, downtown, or the first every BSP Office in the whole world, to follow up my case.

I pray now, right now is already 12:39 AM, that God will give me wisdom and patience to face all these, and win the battle, finally will get my account fixed, my Internet Banking running and my BSP Pay accoun tset.

Kina Bank Vision CIty has Issued my Business SME Account but Kina Bank Waigani Pending Issuing my 2 Fixed Deposit Certificates

Yes, my title is right and true,

"Kina Bank Vision City has Issued my Business SME Account but Kina Bank Waigani Pending Issuing my 2 Fixed Deposit Certificates"

(What I mean by Kina Bank Waigani is the bank office opposite to Holiday Inn.)

It has taken more than 1 year now, almost 20 months, my 2 Fixed Deposit Accounts, which I hold my deposit account number, printed with total amount exactly as I deposited printed on it.

The question for me is this, "Why the same bank, and in the same city, and in capital city, but operate in two different and separate culture and work ethics?

I know organizational culture, how the culture is formed, and what make this look like it now. I heard a lot about the theory of change in relation to organisational culture. Based on this, I can see the culture of serving and work ethics of those in Waigani Office, Opposite of Holiday Inn Hotel have not yet changed. I am guessing, and almost certain, that all of the staff at this office are from a previous bank, that has merged into or to become Kina Bank. In comparison, Kina Bank Vision City as brand-new all-Kina-Bank workers, they have vibrant and new energy. Everybody just standing by, even walking by the office inside the building will feel, there is Kina Bank, and this is a good office, good energy, good vibration.

On the opposite is what you see at the other office I am referring to. You feel really like you are entering into a hospital queue or airline ticket office, by queuing and by the workers inside greet you and follow up your request you will certainly feel that you have entered a government office atmosphere, not really a bank, let alone a commercial bank.

The outcome is clear, well at least for me. Well, at least I speak for my own personal experience and personal lesson. It is that my fixed Deposits at the Waigani Office are not being processed because they staff or bankers working there are not serving, they are there to be served. Or else, they do not know what they are supposed to do, or worse, they do not know what to do to solve such a problem.

I have phoned the office. I have visited the office, with this one and only request: Issue my Fixed Deposits Certificates. Three times, they told me to wait. And I am waiting still. This is already 20 months. After 4 months from now, then it will be 2 years, or 24 months, times how many days, times how many hours these people work in bank carry out their jobs.

What is left for me to do is JUST PRAY, and while praying to God, Jesus Christ, I write this report in my own blog. I am petitioning God to do something. I have petitioned the bank 3 times, and will phone them and visit them, but before that I write this note here in this blog. Then I will pray, ....... that is all I can do.....and surely....I have to do...

WHILE complaining to God and to Kina Bank about this, at least I have to thank God that my Kina Business Account for my Company PAPUAmart.com LTD has been set up, and I am looking forward to receive other facilities available to run a fully PNG (100%) PNG Owned company focused on Online Business (Netpreneurship in Melanesia)

I am looking forward to see what Kina Bank will offer, particularly with Vision City Branch of Kina Bank, to support my

INSTANT, Yes... AGAIN.... INTSTANT Issuing of Visa Card at Kina Bank, Vision City Branch

I have stated my frustration and complain against very late issuing of my Visa Card at Kina Bank Waigani Branch, Port Moresby Papua New Guinea. I said there that I telephoned and even IN boxed them on Facebook Messenger, and they expressed their regret and promised to fix it, but on all occasions they failed.

  1. It took me almost 1 year waiting for my visa card, which was then stolen a few months later on 1 December 2021.
  2. I has taken me almost 2 years now, after I submitted my Application Forms for issuing two Fixed Deposits that I already deposited some years back.
Well, that is the bad news.

But there is a good news. That is the title of this note.

The good news is that Kina Bank, particularly Kina Bank Vision City Branch is the fastest bank in delivering services in all Papua New Guinea:

  1. The fastest in organising customers coming in
  2. The fastest in serving the Deposit/ Witdrawal section
  3. The fastest in issuing Visa Debit Card, and once more
  4. The fastest in opening Kina Bank SME Business Accouunt

AND

Please note, I am writing based on my personal experience. None of the above 4 fastest ones are based on stories, but all based on my personal story. And again, please note, the experience I am talking here is not ones from some months ago, but something I just experienced within the first and second week of May 2022.

So...

So, the reason I am writing this note is twofold. The first being to educate public in Papua New Guinea, who are doing banking activities that when you come to Kina Bank Vision City, I assure you that you will definitely get the fastest services every across Papua New Guinea.

The world's fastest delivery country is surely Hong Kong, then Singapore. Others follow far behind. And Papua New Guinea is the first one from bottom. Everything seems stay still, even though things are happening.

When you go to Kina Bank Waigani Branch, you will get very late and slow services. I am sorry to say this, but I cannot help stay back and do nothing about this.

I do not want to compare with the competitor bank, which has the longest queue in the whole world. And I want to say, that I did open a new account, applied for Internet Banking and Visa Card, but they told me to come a week later. I went back, then they told me to come another week again. They told me this after I had waited for almost 4 hours. Remember, I went there 7:AM even before that bank was opened. I was among the first customers lined up, but got the service almost 4 hours later.

So....

So, my second purpose of writing this note is that Government officials, particularly Customer Service, Public Service Delivery Section or Banking Authorities should step in and help us speeding up the services delivery and help us experience what is the meaning of being citizens of an independent state called Papua New Guinea, let alone, the Richest Black Christian Nation on Earth, which I am sorry to say, but I am very embarrassed to hear this way of thinking.

I am waiting for the time PNG Declares West Papua as Her Ancestral Land

I am, and I know all communities of beings in this isle of New Guinea, are waiting for the time PNG Declares West Papua as Her Ancestral Land. The reason is simple: this land and island belongs to Melanesians, and not Malays.

The second reason is that God created Melanesians to live in New Guinea Island and not the Malays. It is not God's will that Indonesians are occupying West Papua, the half of all Melanesians home of origin.

The third reason is that there is nobody in the whole planet every invited and accepted, legalized and approved Indonesian occupation over West Papua. The United Nations ONLY "Took Note" of the outcome of the Act of Free Choice in 1969 in West Irian. The United Nations knew very well right from the beginning that Indonesia violated all arrangements made in the New York Agreement 1962.

The last reason is that many Melanesians, many New Guinean Islanders, who share the same ancestors, homeland and race with Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Fiji, Vanuatu and Kanaky are right now being killed. More than 500,000 Melanesians in West Papua have been killed so far, mostly women and children. Many are displaced and took refugee in Papua New Guinea, in Manus, in Kiunga, in Vanimo, in Port Moresby, in Madang and in Lae.

We Melanesians are all originated from New Guinea Island. We started inhabiting Melanesian archipelago starting from West Papua. Our place of origin is right now being occupied. Our brothers and sisters are being wiped out from our ancestral land called New Guinea Island, in the western part of New Guinea.

Papua New Guinea is morally, spiritually, socially, culturally obliged and therefore responsible to declare West Papua as part of her own land, her own country, her own inheritance. Papua New Guinea is also politically and legally responsible to revoke the undemocratic and illegal occupation of West Papua by illegal colonialists who have come to steal, rob, kill and wipe out Melanesians from our ancestral land, which in some hundred years time, will also wipe out all PNG and her populations, which in hundreds of years time, will wipe out all Melanesians.

Kotokay Responds: PNG is Totally Free Market Country

Johnnie T Esanko

Approximately 90% of businesses are foreign - owned so the profits are remitted offshore. Also a sizable portion of the workforce is made up foreigners who paid higher than locals, and they remit their income to their home countries. This is the one of the reasons the Kina is weak against the US Dollar and now we're experiencing rise in the price of goods and services ( Inflation).

Respond:

Modern nation-states were established by colonial masters to keep us stay as slaves, not to become masters like them. We think we have independent country, therefore we have the right to be like foreigners. That is wrong! That was not the intention of setting up modern nation-states.

The banking system is the one that established modern nation-states, in order to keep colonial territories stay as colonized countries.
Unfortunately, PNG is the purest capitalist country, a country totally and fully controlled by markets, governments are just put there to guard the market, not to organise or rule the market. Her colonial masters of England, Australia and USA are not fully and totally controled by markets. Governments still control the markets. PNG? Not at all. No wonder our Kina fluctuates, copra prices fluctuates, coffee price go down and up the valleys, gold price and all prices in PNG are detrmined by markets. So what is the government for???????
Do we have brains to think about these all and do we have dignity to fix this?

Don't Promise, IF YOU CAN'T DELIVER: An Old Man Died After Being Promised by a Negligent Rich Man to Bring Him a Jacket

 So sad,

On a cold night, a billionaire met a old poor man outside. He asked him, "Aren't you feeling cold outside? and you're not even wearing a coat!" The old man replied, "I don't have a coat but I'm used to it. The billionaire replied, "wait for me. I'll just go home and get you a coat."
The poor man was so happy and said he will wait for him. The billionaire got to his house and got busy there and forgot about the poor man. The following morning, he remembered the poor old man and went out to find him but found him dead due to the cold.
The poor old man left a letter saying, "when I had no warm clothes, I had the mental strength to fight the cold, but when you promised to help me, I clinged to your promise and it killed my mental power."
Don't promise anything if you can't keep your promise. It may not be necessary to you, but it could be everything to someone else.
Some of us are just like this old man many people promise us things and forget about us.
When people promise you things it always ends in disappointment or disasters.
Some even promise and fail.
Let me tell you there is a demon behind it that makes your destiny helpers to forget you.
Don't ignore this powerful prayers.
Now my prayers for you reading this post as you share this to (5) different Facebook groups. before Friday next week. Destiny helpers from every directions that matters to your life will locate you and change your story. in Jesus name!

Governor Gary Juffa on West Papua, Papua New Guinea and Ukraine, and Wewo Kotokay's Response

Gary Juffa's Statement on Facebook

Meanwhile I have a Melanesian question..

Any invasion of a nation will have strong concerns and opinions from various perspectives, everyone agrees.

What I am curious about is the deafening silence from the same countries expressing grave concerns about the invasion of Ukraine who have said nothing about the invasion of West Papua.

West Papua was invaded by Indonesia in 1962 where it is estimated more than 700,000 West Papuan Melanesians have died to date. 1st October 1962 to be precise. Illegal military occupation continues as we speak. 59 years and 4 months to be exact.

A sham of a referendum was held under the supervision of the UN in 1969, it was ironically labelled The Act of Free Choice. Here 1025 Melanesian elders were forced and intimidated with threats of extreme violence to vote on behalf of an entire peoples of more than 2 million to remain with Indonesia despite their desire otherwise. It was actually an “Act of No Choice”.

And why were no other adult eligible voters allowed to vote and only 1025 adults chosen to represent an entire population of more than 2million with certainly more voters than just 1025 adult elders? This was a most unusual and perhaps undemocratic “Referendum”.

Almost every Western nation was there to witness this. Real information and reports of this awful act of brutal apathy are recorded if one cares to look. Extreme silence was the order of the day and days following, it seems.

For 59 years and 4 months.

What is the difference between our fellow Melanesians in West Papua and the good citizens of Ukraine may I ask?

Why is there no global condemnation and no prayers and no concerns raised for West Papua? What is happening in West Papua has evolved beyond an invasion to a full scale genocide of a people.
Why is there not a single mention in western media about our Melanesian and Pacific people? Is it because we are an inferior people? Is it because they are not the right color or ethnicity to warrant concern by global authorities?

Whatever it is, can someone in a position of authority please provide an answer to my Melanesian question?

Wewo Kotokay's Reseponse

Dear Mr. Gary Juffa, I Pray that Hon. Juffa will be as strong and as openly as Gov. Powes Parkop asks the concerned ministers in Papua New Guinea parliament and express this concern you are putting on Facebook into right place, to the right persons, in order to get the right response.

Otherwise, people will think this kind on note is only coming because of political agenda in this year of General Elections. I pray that God gives you bravery and confidence just like Governor Powes Parkop to speak openly, clearly, directly and confidently. Before that, I want Governor Juffa to dedicate some hectares of land for West Papua Refugees in Oro Province and call it West Papua town, and again, as Governor Powes Parkop has done.

I am a human being, born here in this planet Earth, on the Isle of New Guinea, to defend the rights of all communities of beings, including those in West Papua.

In a broader sense, we Melanesians do not have the gut and mind power and self-image on ourselves. We always look at ourselves based on images produced and given to us by colonial masters. We are looking at ourselves as West Papuans, Papua New Guineans, Solomon Islanders, Fijians, ni-Vanuatu and New Caledonian. We are not treating the problem in West Papua as our Melanesian problem, our problem in this Isle of New Guinea. We are looking at things based on the eyes and images of colonial masters. We are not free in our mind, perspectives and views on our own self. That is why when Americans say Ukraina is a problem, those divided and fragmented Melanesians also see and say the same. When they do not say anything about problems in Melanesia, are follow suit.

Wake-up Melanesia! Get-up Melanesia! Stand-up Melanesia! Speak the Truth!, with no fear! Without hesitation! Raise Beyond Fear! Defeat the Devils and his kingdom called "Indo-nesia"

Others' Responses

You would think USA the so called World Police and the self proclaimed liberator of people would support the plight of the West Papuans but sadly it has nothing to gain from this exercise but has alot to gain from siding and arming Ukraine against Russia all for Wealth and Geopolitical power.

Yes, exactly, it's because the UN had then decided the fate of our fellow Melanesians,, the corporate world only care about resources. Long live West Papua n they will one day prevail. Merdeka Papua

29th September 1962, the UN Secretary General U Thant had made a private deal with Pakistan in May 1962 to supply the UN force that would occupy West New Guinea. In April 1962 the Secretary General got legal advice advising that irrespective what he & Indonesia wanted to call it, would be an exercise of article 81 (Trusteeship) of the Charter of the United Nations and therefore he needed General Assembly (article 85) authorisation of the proposed UN actions in the 'Bunker plan' a.k.a. 'New York Agreement'

Powerfully said Governor GJ. We need support our fellow brothers n sisters in West Papua. Permission to share please.

Kina Bank how are you and what are you doing with my Fixed Deposits?

Kina Bank WHERE IS my two fixed deposit accounts.certificates? I have the account numbers with me applied for certificate but for a year now where's is my certificate of fixed deposit, please?

It started in February 17, 2021, when my Internet banking was hacked into, and someone in Madras India was using my account to make transfers.

I reported to Kina Bank since then, showing my fixed deposit numbers, my three accounts and I managed to stop the money from being remastered out.

Interestingly my email accounts were also hacked so this guy was using my name asking Kina Bank to transfer money out.

I praise Kina Bank for very careful system being laid inside there. I am proud of it.

However I am now doubting what Kina Bank is really doing with my Fixed Deposits, two accounts ever since.

When I was Meeting the Kina Bank Internet security or banking Section they told me money inside fixed deposit are there. She even printed out the existing balance in my savings and fixed deposit accounts.

She asked me to fill in the form then she will issue the certificate for me. It was I February 18, 2021

Today I am writing this story on 8 February 2022, after I read advertisement of kina Bank at Facebook saying it is easy and it is save
i supplied regrets in one of the facebook postings and Kina Bank did respond saying someone will email me.

2 weeks later someone emailed me asking me to fill out the form and submit to her by Email THAT VERY SAME FORMS as I already submitted. I did not but instead I went to bank in late 2021, December 2021.

This time was a different person, a third different person. The first was, second and this time are all women.

She asked me, "do you want your fixed deposit 1 month, 3 month or 1 year term?' I know this was badly a wrong question but I answered: 3 months term. Well by the time I applied at the beginning time, I did choose and determine the terms time, but why is she asking?

A month from it now, no certificate yet issued.

Kina Bank how are you and what are you doing with my Fixed Deposits?

BEER IS ASSOCIATED WITH POVERTY

There is no record of wealth creation on earth that a man drank beer or smoked his life out to incredible wealth and prosperity. NEVER!

If you have then prove me wrong. Beer and smoke is associated with the spirit of Poverty. And I mean deep poverty.

Binge or moderate, you still end up in the same square. You live short of your full potential and dream life. The best part is, it is an habit. (and) we can change from habits and it will take a strong will power to do it. If you aren't, sorry fullness of life is an illusion.

The only reason alcoholics can argue here is, the feelings of false sensations that they've reached the top of the world, and beer makes life so rewarding and they have great friendship. Whilst that may have some essence, that is all temporal.

The reality is, no one celebrates happy feelings in a life time.

There is a time to be rich and poor, born and die, being friends and at war, healthy and diseased. All these came about as a consequence of our decisions each day. The better the good, the ugly from the bad. There's no two way about this.

You don't harvest apples from planting weeds. This is the biggest weakness cultured into the norms of our society. It is a death trap.

The social safety of our citizens are de-fabricated by the alcoholic behaviors of our youths who are supposed to be the most productive citizen class than our aged. Celebrating success is not about drinking beer. That is euphoria. Real and lasting success is quiet.

The neighbors don't hear about it. Success is a lifestyle. If drinking beer is your success then your real rewards will be enjoyed by others. You're only a convenience for others' greatness.

The real sense of poverty hits you when you wake up from a deep sleep after a beer moment. Who would be honest enough to deny? Never please your social status more than your hard work for real success.

Life is meaningless if you don't have goals. The wisest King said,' it is vanity. It is like chasing the wind'. By humility and fear of the Lord are riches and honor and life. (Pr 22:4) Did it mention beer? Absolutely not!

A life of humility and fearing the Lord brings riches, honor and good life. Pride amounts to nothing! Don't be a celebrity of temporal success and euphoria.

CO-INCIDENCE OF LIFE! Have you taken note of the CO-INCIDENCE of Life?

What a life we live in!!

CO-INCIDENCE OF LIFE! Have you taken note of the CO-INCIDENCE of Life? We all have to be humble and have a low feeling of pride in ourselves, do you know
_ Church has 6 letters so does Mosque
_ Bible has 5 letters so does Qur'an.
_ Hate has 4 letters so does love.
_ Enemies has 7 letters so does Friends.
_ Lying has 5 letters so does Truth.
_ Hurt has 4 letters so does Heal.
_ Negative has 8 letters so does positive.
_ Failure has 7 letters so does success.
_ Below has 5 letters so does Above.
_ Cry has 3 letters so does Joy.
_ Anger has 5 letters so does Happy.
_ Right has 5 letters so does wrong.
_ Rich has 4 letters so does Poor.
_ Fail has 4 letters so does Pass.
_ knowledge has 9 letters so does Ignorance.
_ Life has 4 letters so does dead.
Are they all by coincidence? We should choose wisely. This means life is like a double edged sword.
If you think it is your alarm that wakes you up early in the morning, then put it besides a dead body, then you will understand that it's by the Grace of God that you are even alive now. Happy Sunday God bless you all....🙏🙏🙏

Good morning thank you for your kind response.

Yes I opened my fixed deposit at Waigani branch. Opened it on-line so it went to Waigani branch (not Waigani drive ezlx anz bank but ex myBank office)

I have two issues that never been resolved in the past 8  months (since February 2021)

1. My fixed deposit account, there are two accounts with my name, first one is k.... and second one is k.....

........ is the person I submitted all the forms I filled out to. I went 3 times. And two times they asked me to wait then never came back, after 2 or 3 hours waiting. The last one the reason was Mrs Etna has moved to the other branch

2. My visa card I ordered with Reuben at the same Office. This was about 19 February 2021. This one never finalized to thai date..over and over I am told.come back again

We should not be ordered to.come back when there is no clear counter for cards collection. Individual staff should handle and submit to one counter for cards collection so we do not need to chase those individuals. This create potential opportunity for bribery.

This applies the same issue with my form submission for fixed depositals. They should not come back to me and say that ...... has moved. That is not my issue. my issue is I trusted my money with you and I need the certificate of the deposits. All banks the world will provide this within days only. Visa cards can be issued within weeks not months if not days.

I screen shot my savings and fixed accounts here. Please do help me follow this up.

Thank you very much indeed. And the God that I believe and serve for will bless you accordingly!

I am sorry to say that the best way is submit the case to police for investigation as it is also related to a trading a store here which gave out my PIN. Then the thief used it to withdraw my money. how come a trading store can find out my PIN number? K5,000 was stolen and bank cannot do anything with that store? To find out what really happened when the thief was doing transaction. That transaction was k1,000 then cash withdrawal some hours after that at kina Bank ATM two times, with k2,000 each withdrawal

I want to see this ...... trading store is related to the thief and how it relates to my previous cases of hacking into my on-line banking account that costed me more than that, which was also an Indian man. In that case according to Google report he lives in Madras India but kina Bank did not give clear explanation on what really happened other than blaming me for doing on-line transactions. Bank should know at least how the person hacked into my bank account. But I just left it like that. And now this is a second time they actually came into my house, stole my wallet with my visa debit card and used it. Indian identities in these to incidents may or may not be related but the main issue is Kina Bank stays in the position of blaming me for not careful with my card or my login ID, which I automatically know all about this long time in my life. I am not new with banks and how I should keep or deal with PIN number and login ID and password.

Thanks for the further note Wewo and we understand the situation you find yourself in is quite distressing and frustrating.

Can you please confirm these details are still valid?
